Junior Achievement of Erie County has partnered with The Center for Credit and Consumer Research, an applied research unit of the Sam & Irene Black School of Business, at Penn State Erie to provide students in middle and high school experiential learning programs on free enterprise, business, and economics.
!The game includes important information on credit management and incorporates Junior Achievement's JA Economics for Success, Junior Achievement Presents: The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program and NEFE Financial Planning Program.

Financial Literacy Partnership Program
The Erie Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce it’s partnership with Erie Times - News in Education (NIE), Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania (Erie Region Office), United Way, and Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, in a financial literacy project that actively involves 6,000 students in 65 schools, and families within the Erie community. This partnership is ideal, since each organization shares the common goal of educating and encouraging area students and families to make smart decisions for investing, saving and managing money for a successful financial future as well as continuing their education.
The Erie Federal Credit Union’s participation in this program was sponsored, in part, by a $10,000 Grant provided by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation. The Erie Federal Credit Union employees will also serve as guest speakers to classrooms and after school programs to bring hands-on financial literacy education to teachers, students and parents.

Junior Achievement is continuing our partnership with the Erie Times News in Education and Penn State Behrend Center for Credit and Consumer Research to bring you a financial literacy feature entitled: "Invest in Your Future". Each Friday beginning September 21, this feature will be in the Erie Times- News and will highlight financial literacy issues for use in area classrooms.

The United Way of Erie County has generously contributed $10,000 to help cover costs for the newspapers students receive for free every Friday. As a partner, the United Way of Erie County will have representatives available for parent outreach, to share what is available in the community to help families with financial issues and to provide information about the Earned Income Tax Credit refund.
